Jane qualified from Liverpool University in 1991. She worked in Greater Manchester and Scotland before moving back to Northern Ireland in 2000. Jane started work at Rathgael Vets in 2005. She loves being home in Bangor, close to her family and friends.

Jane strives for clinical and professional excellence in all aspects of her work. She is regularly invited to do talks at local primary and secondary schools and she enjoys sharing her experiences with the children. All Jane’s pets have been rescued at Rathgael Vets; Bosco, Whiskers, Hiccup, Astrid and Heidi. In her spare time Jane plays and coaches water polo for Bangor Barracudas. She also likes Open Water swimming and swam to Scotland in a record-breaking North Channel Relay in 2016. Since then, Jane has swum the Catalina Channel Relay and Alcatraz in California in 2019 and the Dal Riata and North Channel in 2021.

In November 2021, Jane, along with Rachel Kinnaird and Dawn Campbell, took on the roles of Clinical and Practice Director, at Garden Lodge Vets in Holywood and Stormont.
